The McGraw Lab is currently recruiting post-doctoral scholars to work on projects related to our refractory seizure models. Two Fellowship opportunities are available: 1) Post-doctoral Research Fellowship in Refractory Seizure Disorders and Treatment Innovation 2) Post-doctoral Research Fellowship in Genetic Epilepsy
Required • PhD in Neuroscience, Pharmacology, Medical Genetics, Chemical Biology, or a related discipline by the start date. • Record of achievement during graduate studies as evidenced by first-authored articles in peer-reviewed journals +/- independent grants • Experience working with animal models (mouse, or zebrafish) (preferred)
Compensation • Salary starting at $61,000, commensurate with candidate’s background and experience. • Comprehensive benefits package (postdocs.northwestern.edu) • The position is offered for one year with extensions of up to three years. Fellows are highly encouraged to apply for independent extramural funding after Y1.

Dr. McGraw is currently a member of NUIN, CGM, and is amenable to joining other graduate programs as necessary. Typical rotation projects may be wet-lab, involving animal models of epilepsy (zebrafish, mouse), molecular biology (methods development), or dry lab (data analysis).
